Driven by Service. Fueled by Compassion.
Tracy brings decades of diverse experience and a profound heart for service and leadership of The Shepherd Home. Her journey is a testament to faith in action.
Rooted in Faith & Community: Her path began with administrative leadership within the United Methodist Church, where she skillfully counseled church staff and served on multiple religious boards. Her passion for nurturing others shone through overseeing vibrant youth programs and directing youth choirs. This dedication extended into public service as a Youth Coordinator in Indiana schools and a healthcare professional supporting Illinois students.
Building Foundations of Care: Harnessing this experience, she successfully founded and operated a childcare center, demonstrating her commitment to creating safe, supportive spaces.
Answering Texas’ Call: Upon moving to Texas, Tracy witnessed a critical gap: vulnerable neighbors facing homelessness lacked essential resources due to administrative shifts. Seeing the urgent need for personal hygiene supplies, nonperishable food, adequate clothing, and basic coverings, she took immediate, personal action—feeding individuals on the streets and distributing vital supplies.
Founding The Shepherd Home: This hands-on compassion, combined with her extensive background in administration, counseling, youth development, and community care, ignited the vision for The Shepherd Home. She founded the organization to provide consistent, dignified support where it’s needed most.
Director’s Lifelong Journey: Beyond organizational leadership, Tracy has dedicated her life to guiding couples through marital challenges, counseling individuals through personal struggles, and offering wisdom across countless life situations. Her leadership is not just administrative—it is deeply personal, shaped by a lifetime of offering sanctuary, healing, and hope.
Leading with Purpose: As Founder and Director, Tracy draws upon her decades of experience to lead with both strategic vision and deep empathy. She ensures The Shepherd Home effectively delivers practical help—meeting basic needs to restore hope and dignity within our Texas community.
