A Life Devoted to Compassion, Guidance, and Family
At the heart of The Shepard Home lies the profound dedication of our Director, Angela. Her journey to leadership is deeply rooted in decades of hands-on compassion and unwavering commitment to serve the most vulnerable.
Before founding our leading The Shepherd Home, Angela dedicated years to the healthcare field, developing a strong foundation in care and support. This passion for helping others blossomed further when she opened her heart and her home as a foster parent. Over the years, she has become a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to more than seven displaced children, creating a legacy of love and stability. Her profound understanding of the challenges faced by young mothers was deepened by personally welcoming and nurturing two children who were the offspring of pregnant teenagers.
Following a distinguished career in healthcare and foster care, Angela answered a further calling, becoming a pastor at a local church. In this role, she provided spiritual leadership, oversaw administrative staff, and offered compassionate counseling - a ministry that directly informs her holistic approach at The Shepherd Home.
Today, as our Director, Angela brings this extraordinary tapestry of experience to her leadership. She combines strategic oversight with profound empathy, drawing on her extensive background in counseling at-risk youth, supporting survivors of trauma (including rape victims), guiding couples through marital challenges, and offering wisdom across countless other life situations. Her leadership is not just administrative; it's deeply personal, shaped by a lifetime of offering sanctuary, healing, and hope.
Angela leads The Shepherd Home with the heart of a caregiver, the wisdom of a counselor, and the unwavering belief that every individual deserves dignity, support, and the chance to heal and thrive. We are profoundly grateful for her visionary and compassionate leadership.
